Ranked Season 2: play for $300 in prizes
Season 2 is live, and this time there's real money on the line: $300 in prizes for the Challenger leaderboard.
Season 1 is over, and Ranked Season 2 started on November 2. Same one-on-one duels, same eight leagues from Iron to Challenger, but this time there's real money on the line: $300 in prizes for the Challenger leaderboard. Free to enter, open to everyone 16 and up.
The prizes
When the season ends on December 1, the final Challenger leaderboard decides:
1st place: $150 and the title Season 2 Human GPS
2nd place: $60
3rd place: $40
2 Golden Tickets of $25: drawn among every other player on the Challenger leaderboard
Everyone else on the Challenger board who doesn't win cash gets a Legendary coconut. So once you reach Challenger, you win something either way.
Golden Tickets: how the draw works
You don't have to finish in the top 3 to win money. Every Challenger outside the top 3 is in the draw for the two Golden Tickets, and your points set your chances:
Reach Challenger: 1 point
Every 10 ranked games you play as a Challenger: +1 point (up to +5)
Every full hour you stream GeoCoach live on Twitch: +2 points (up to +10). Connect your Twitch account from the leaderboard first. The stream has to be in the GeoCoach category or have #GeoCoach in its title, and you have to be playing GeoCoach.
Every point is one chance in the draw, and the leaderboard shows your points and your current chance live. The draw is public, so nobody can fix it: when the season ends, we publish the list of everyone in the draw with their points, and the winners are picked with a public random number (the first drand beacon round after 01:00 UTC on the day after the season ends). Anyone can check the result.
Free and fair
Free to enter. Ranked is free with your daily games.
Money can't buy a place. Nothing you buy (Plus, gems, coconuts, the Geo Pass) changes your place or your chances.
16 and up. If you're under 18, we pay the prize to your parent or guardian, with their consent.
One person, one account. Your email must be verified. Playing on more than one account, sharing an account or letting someone else play for you disqualifies every account involved.
We check the winners. Before paying, we review the winners' matches and replays. Cheats, scripts, win trading and boosting cost you the prize.
Winners hear from us in the app and by email, and get paid by PayPal or Wise at least 14 days after the season ends, once the review is done. You'll find everything in the full prize rules.
What's new in Season 2
No Google car from Gold up. When both players are Gold or higher, the Google car is hidden for the whole match. No more reading the car.
A title for the champion. The Season 2 winner gets Season 2 Human GPS to wear under their name.
A coconut for every Challenger. Reach Challenger and you get at least a Legendary coconut when the season ends.
The season reset
Every season starts with a small reset, so the race is fresh for everyone:
Iron stays Iron.
Bronze, Silver and Gold drop one league.
Diamond and up drop two leagues.
Getting back is quick. Your first 5 games of the season give +2 extra stars for every win, and after that Rank Boost gives +1 extra star per win until you're back in the league you finished Season 1 in. And the league worlds you've unlocked stay yours.
